1986 classic fifty 45hp?????????

could my 45hp have a rev limiter in it? also off the stator there is two yellow wires and a blue wire and a blue/white wire. the blue and blue/white wire go to this 1"wide 4"long part then that goes to the switching box. what is is part? also the 2 yellow wire go to this 3x3 box that has 4 wire and ground on it. which 2wires go to the stator which are yellow and the other 2 wires which are red go to the rectifier.

I don't have a wiring diagram nearby for your motor, but you'll find the components in this one very similar. Your motor does not have a rev limiter. The items you describe are an idle stabilizer (adjusts the timing at idle speeds to try and keep it running smoother) , and a rectifier (which turns the AC signal into DC for your charging system). Your motor obviously has only one switchbox for 4 cylinders, but much of the rest of the diagram should be similar.
