1986 DT85 Need a lower unit

I have a 1986 DT85 that needs a new lower unit. Does anyone know what years are compatible or where I can find which models match mine. Please help I drive by the lake every day, but I cannot get on it.

Look here store.brownspoint.com/microfiche.asp for the model of the lower unit case part numbers for the 1986 DT85 and DT75. Just click onto the DT85 and follow the link to the year. Compare previous DT75 and 85 years. The 1986 DT85 and 75 are the same cases, but other previous years of the same DT series may fit. 87 on appear to have completely different cases with the water pump assembly area being different.
The one on ebay was the same as the DT85/year you have and went for $149

PS if no response from others call/contact brownspoint.com and they should know?

Well are you sure it is an 1986 model? ...... I would say any 85hp or 75hp lower unit will fit ....

Yes it is a 86 model the serial # off of it is 8501-614971 and the model # is DT85TCLG. Both of those numbers match up to the 1986 yr. on brownspoint's website.
