1986 evinrude 9.9 to 15 hp cpnversion

I have a 9.9 which I want to find the parts to convert to a 15 hp. I don't know if it is a myth or not but I have been told for the conversion i need only 2 things... a new exhaust tube part number 330440 and a carburetor part number 397723. Is this true? I can find the exhaust tube no problem but am having a hard time with finding a carb. on marine engine.com the carb states it was replaced by Part 0398822.

Aree there any problems for my engine if I do this? Do I need a different prop? All thoughts appreciated.

soon i will get johnson 15hp, 1983 but i dont need so much power, i'm thinking to switch te carb from 9.9

yes some of them just need carb. good luck finding one. i have 89 9.9 and ive been searching for a while now no luck.
