I got this motor 3 weeks ago, the previous owner had taking good care of it but it had been sitting in the garage for 2 years when I got it. There wasn't any major issues. Compression was good. It was running a bit rough. With the help of this forum I replaced all the fuel lines (including from tank to motor), the primer bulb, fuel quick disconnect, spark plugs, clean up carb jets and replaced gaskets and bowl gaskets, replaced water pump housing and impeller. Installed fuel filter from fuel pump to carb to monitor fuel flow and replaced the batteries and replaced the acoustic foam in the cowling which was disintegrating pretty badly, leaving a mess in the motor.. It was in need of a bit of TLC, like I said no major issues. Never been used in salt water was definitively a plus.
So here is the result: If you are familiar with this engine please let me know if you think that the idle RPM is ok (i don't have an RPM gauge).
