Can someone explain to me how to check coils with a multi-meter? Motor has spark on 3 cylinders and no spark on other bank of 3. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
the odds of 3 coils failing at once are incredibly slim. tell me what service manual you have and I will try to type you through the steps.<br /> good luck and keep posting

there's control that has tripped causing the loss of spark. if i recall, the oil reset will restore function momentarily. check a manual, it will explain it further. i'm at the office and don't have it handy.
Yep, it turned out to be the low oil warning module on mine. I disconnected it and the motor is back to running on all 6 cylinders..... <br /><br />-Rob
