The boating gods must be on your side or you got really lucky!!! That pump wont put out but about 4 psi at WOT where as a VRO puts out 3 psi at 1500rpm. I guess yours being a small bore looper,new pump, age of engine plus boat type/weight have equaled a good combo. I have had customers try this on the 140 engines on bass boats and they will not run on top end do to lack of fuel. Just my $.02 but I myself would not try it...

I agree with the reservations here using a fuel pump mentioned as a replacement.
One needs to do a accurate benchmark before and after on a good running engine, Fuel pressure at idle/wot, RPM at WOT etc, any lost of RPM's at WOT is indicative of a lean condition or flooding check plugs etc, My 2 cents is how much is a powerhead worth to you?
It would be an easy decision if both pumps specifications were published somewhere, I guessing its not. I will just buy the correct replacement pump.

if you want to premix, the is a $300 replacement pump. Vro Replacement Fuel Pump Kit "no Oil"
(for Using Oil/gas Pre-mix In Fuel Tank)

#5007422 it is in the $300 range.

I have had customers try this on the 140 engines on bass boats and they will not run on top end do to lack of fuel.

No difference whatsoever compared to the VRO.
4 others in my area that I know of that have the same set up now. 2 115hp, 1 other 140hp and 1 90hp.
No issues so far from any of them.

I have a brand new 3 hose connection and a new bracket to install it if you are still looking .
