1987 20 hp mercury timing adjustment

i have a 1987 20hp merc that i converted from remonte to tiller . in the process i changed all of the linkages and timing got all screwed up. all of the dots and lines on the fly wheel are are quite confusing .. what dot/ line on the fly wheel do you use for a reference for at idle? dos any one have a manual for it?

View attachment 107675Here is the timing marks for a 1990 25hp motor.I don't know if it is the same for your 20hp.but I would think so.Hope this helps.

Do you have the "BC" or "WMC" carb?The adjustment is different for each.
