Okay I have a 1987 60 hp 2 stroke mercury serial number ob226790 here lately it's not been right today I took the plugs out and the top plug looked like it had aluminum welded to the plug I know this means it was ran to lean so I pulled the carbs and found dirt in the bowls so I wanted to see the pistons so I took the cover off the left side where the linkage is and looked at the pistons and cylinders and saw the top piston is scarfed the whole motor was rebuilt about a 11/2 years ago it was my grandfather who has now past away so I can't get the paperwork to see if it was bored or not by the way I'm still looking for a service manual for this engine I have pics I'm going to upload so you can see what I'm talking about the plate I pulled off you can see the top had a lot of build up on it and the second and third piston where The oil and gas mix you can see it was lubricanted so about me I've been a auto mechanic for 12 years but first time on a outboard so any help I would appreciate it also the pics are in a folder on my computer how can I post them thanks
