Ok I got that worked out Next qustion I am going to run pre mix. How do I convert from VRO on this motor. I just have the motor don't have the vro tank. Can I use the pump that is on it and just plug off the oil line.

Yes you can use the existing VRO fuel pump and plug the oil line into the motor. If you need to replace the fuel pump go to the 1983 150 parts list for the parts and set up. Use 50:1 mix.

Well the compression is 60 to 75 so it looks like time for a rebuild. Waiting on a service manuel. How do I pull the power head. does the lower unit have to come off

Hope you're getting a factory service manual. It will tell all about a rebuild from start to finish. Does this mtr run ??

no it doesn't run. A frind picked it up for $200. The guy said it was running rough when he took it off his boat. I am going to rebuild the motor and carbs. If it is rebuildable.

With that compression you should still get a pop or two out of it. Any spark ??

Yes all 6 cylinders will jump 7/16" gap. But it didnit even try to start. I have the heads off now and 2 cylinders are scord. I am not shure a carb motor is worth putting much money in though.

It's a common, run-of-the mill 150. If it were an XP/GT, it might be worth salvaging. How is the lower unit, trim unit? You should be able to triple your money if you part it out.
