Hello all, I had my boat out for the first time Monday. While making a run around the lake, I heard a bang and then the boat high stop moving forward and had high idle. It won't get into forward or reverse. It just high idles both ways. I had another boat tow me in. They said they heard the noise and to them sounded like I hit something in the water. I'm new to Force. Would there be some sort of a shear bolt in these units? Thanks for any info

The prop has a rubber hub.
It's designed to break loose and lower the possibility of damage to the gears.

Remove it and check for rubber bits under the thrust hub washer.
Then mark it with a marker or scribe, reinstall and run it in the water.
Then pull and see if the mark has moved.

Drain the oil and check for metal??

The dog can go bad but usually not in F@R
