Being my normal paranoid self once again, trying to find issues with my engine that dont exist.... because i cant believe it runs as great as it does, I thought of a question that Ive been wondering about for awhile:

Before I store it for the winter, I want to test the overheat alarm. I have read a few ways on here as to how to do this, but its never my model engine, and I dont know whether its the same procedure of grounding certain wires to the block. Can I test it on this motor despite the fact its not remote operated and thus isnt connected to a power source?? If so what do I need to do?? Thanks in advance guys.

To my knowledge, that engine does not incorporate the overheat warning alarm system. However, look at the cylinder head to see if there is a TAN wire protruding from it which is connected to another TAN wire.

If it exists, you can test the warning system as stated in eariler posts. If it does not exist, then of course there is no warning system.
