My Suzuki DT55 (oil injected) has been in dry dock for about twelve years since my dad passed away. I believe it's an '87 or '88. I don't think it has more than 40 hours running time on it. Recent work performed by myself and by a certified Suzuki mechanic: Carbs cleaned. Impeller replaced. Gear case relubed. New fuel filter. New starter solenoid. New neutral safety switch. New plugs. Oil pump/lines bled. New gaskets.

The Suzi mechanic told me they "got it running." (I should have had the fella start it when I was there to pick it up) Anyway, when I hook up a charged battery (650 marine cranking...550 cold cranking) and turn the key I get nothing (w/ shifter in neutral). Not even power trim. Making a connection (bridge) with a screwdriver from the wire coming in from the battery that goes into solenoid to the wire going into the starter itself I'm able to determine that electricity is reaching the starter solenoid b/c the starter tries to do what a starter is supposed to do. (I didn't try long enough to allow it to fire. Definitely getting juice, though.)

Could there be a bad fuse preventing me from starting the engine with the key?
