i have a 1988 135 hp merc. with oil injection, that has only 50 hours on it-- i regularly run it once a month with the muffs on to bring the engine temp up to normal, shift into and out of forward, neutral, and reverse and activate the hydraulics, both tilt/trim and steering, to try to keep everything moving and working when i can,t get out. the last time when doing this, after i shut down , i noticed fuel running out of the front lowere section of the motor housing-- i pulled the cover and found a puddle of fuel under the carbs and airbox housing-- pulled the airbox and couldn't tell what to look for next-- anyone have a thot? stuck needle? or jet? am new to this forum and think you guys have a really cool site here. would appreciate any help-- boats in so.cal, so no winter to speak of-- thanks-- c-mac

My carb was doing this and it ended up being a stuck float.

Lightly tap the float boal with a screwdriver and see if that loosens it up.

BTW, got that same advise from this forum when I had my problem.
