OK, I know I'm a dummy. So I was changing the gear oil and removed the gear shift pin, not the drain plug like I should have. I put it right back in, and it went in no problem. I have not started the engine yet. Just wondering if I am going to have any issues with this. Is there anything I should do before I start it to make sure it will shift in and out of gear? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Terry

Before you start it.
Try shifting without the motor running.
Have someone move the shifter as you turn the prop.
That will tell if the link moved and you need to R/R

Hey Jerry, I took your advice and the engine and transmission are shifting well. II started it up with my water supply and shifted it into forward and reverse. Seems everything will be fine. Thank you very much
