1988 85 hp force outboard no spark. Please help. don't know much about these motors!!

I have a 1988 bayliner capri with 85 hp force outboard. When i first got it it would just turn over but not start. I took the 3 carbs off and cleaned them,re-installed them and it was starting and running GREAT. Last week i pulled the boat out and gave it a good wash and i think water got in through the handle on the motor hood? But i went to start it and it would just turn over but not start. I took carbs back off and checked them and they looked good. pulled the plugs and with the key in the on position held the plugs against the block and no spark. It was working fine, now nothing just turns over over over. It set for a month before after the last time it started good?

Make sure your "Kill Switch" lanyard is hooked up.

I also have a 88 85hp force. I have spark to #2 and #3 but not #1. So I have switched the coil packs from num 2 to num 1 still no spark on 1 but had it on 2. Changed the cdi still no spark on 1 but good on 2. Changed the stater and still no spark. Kinda lost and confused. Why would i have spark on 2 but not on 1 if they run off the same cdi box. Thanks for any help Singed FUSTRATED
