Hi-
I would appreciate any input that one might have regarding my 1988 8hp Yamaha outboard. I bought it last year and ran it about 3 times in salt water. I flushed it with fresh water after each use, then stored it in my basement for the winter, which is what i usually do with my honda 2 hp with out any problems. I took my yamaha out this year and found that the pull cord was stuck, so i pulled it apart and was able to release it while apart. However, when i put it back together it is stuck again. I am afraid i have ceased the engine, although i am wondering how, being that it doesn't get cold enough for it to freeze in my basement . Could there be something else causing it not to turn over?
TY
