They sell kits on this site.
I've found MOST kits are a pain and don't work.
First take your carbs apart and see how bad they are.
Most times they just need to be cleaned.
If the needles are corroded then they need to be changed.
Some kits come with new seats. They are a pain and I won't mess with trying to replace them.
They need to be drilled and pressed in.

Before taking things apart,if you are using the gray mercury fuel line check it on the inside as it tends to fall apart from the ethanol in the gas. From what i was told by the factory rep.thay have upgraded to a more ethanol resistant line ???

Re: 1988 force 125 carb/fuel pump kits

When I first bought boat, didn't pay attention to the FOAM insulation inside cover. After running it a few times, it would die every time i put it in neutral, which sucks at the dock!! When I pulled cover off of motor, small black dust particles of the foam insulation covered the motor. there is no filter on my carbs. can you tell me: should there be? There is only a plastic cover that screws on but still allows stuff (like foam insulation particles) get into the carbs. Mainly it wouldn't idle. That is still an issue, and i've changes the primer bulb which helped some, but otherwise engine runs out great, without so much as a sputter. Also, can you tell me if I need to purchase any gaskets when I pull carbs to clean, I'm assuming I do. By the way, thanks again for your help! Mike

You might need the bowl gaskets.Possible the gasket behind the carb.
No air filters on a Force.
If it runs that great be careful not to change anything.
Make sur ethe air screws are set right.J

Thanks for that info. I believe you gave me the knowledge on sync and timing a while back. it does run good, just dies when you put it in gear or sometimes, usually after coming to a stop, after going slow or from a run. It does start right back up every time, but often dies once or twice when shifting in to gear. Idle and timing are good. The foam dust was in the throat of the carbs, but caught it after just one maiden run, with the family of course. I cleaned out best I could in the field, then better at home, and it has ran better each time out. It does seem to run better and have less problems shifting in to gear with the air cowls off. Thanks Jerry. Would you recomend a selocs for exploded view of carbs, or are they pretty simple. Someone sent me a thread to a good exploded view but must have misplaced it. I think I'll go back and look at my idle, might be a tad low, but timing is right on. Have lots of experience with carbs, just havent broke down and bought a manual. Actually, you've been my manual!
