Trim cylinder seperating???? Three of the bolts/studs head broken off. What caused this. And how to fix

Pretty common for those bolts to break. Raise the motor up, support the motor up so it won't fall back down when you take the trim cylinder apart. Take the rest of the bolts out and remove the top of the trim cylinder and remove the broken bolts. Replace with new stainless steel bolts. Might be a good idea to replace the "O" rings while you have it apart. RRITT has the most experience with this kind of stuff.

big engines stretch the bolts over time. The more you ski or go WOT then the more they stretch. A rebuild kit with new bolts should do you good for another decade or so. You need to fix this last year before you do permanent damages.
