1988 Force 85hp wont start

I bought a 1988 bayliner with a force 85hp outboard a couple of years ago.The boat ran great and started with no problems.I did not get the boat out last year and never even started it.This year I decided I was definetly going to get the boat out!The battery was shot and I bought a new one,installed it.Proceeded to start boat,it cranked fine,but no start.I checked to make sure it was getting fuel,yes.Checked kill switch,ok.Checked for fire to plugs,no fire.Visually inspected,seems to be ok!I would greatly appreciate any suggestions,I am not a mechanic,but I can do some things

Disconned the two white wires on the terminal board on the engine and try it. This will disable the kill system. If it works, the kill switch is bad.
