Hi,
I need help. The perch season is slipping by me and I can'r get the boat fixed.

The fuel intake side has a male PLASTIC pressed piece that the fuel hose attaches to. It literally fell out of the female part of the VRO body. I tried gluing it with Seal All and other glue adhesives that claim to be fuel impervious. Lasted about 3 minutes and falls apart. And yes I lightly sanded both male and female, used alcohol to clean any reidue, it won't stick to this type of plastic.
I want to just install a plain old fuel pump in it's place. Then i can mix my own gas and oil and get back out on Lake Erie.
I can't seem to find anyone that deals with a replacement FUEL only pump. Does anyone know a part # and manufacturer of such? Or have a sure fire way of reattaching the plastic fitting so it will stay permanent and NOT leak fuel.
I just can't afford a new VRO pump.

Thanks anyone out here that can help:)

If I remember correctly, I used two part epoxy to repair one of those, as far as I know it is still working.
You can replace the VRO pump by using a 3 port fuel pump off of an older engine and making your own mounting bracket and probably rerouting fuel lines. There is not kit that I know to replace the VRO system, you have to make your own kit.

Thanks to all. West System wrote to me and said their G/Flex655 would work. A few others suggested their product also, thus my writing to them and explaining my problem. Their rep said for sure it would work. I will try this before I go further. Thanks Safe Boating

Pump 438559 should work. http://www.maxrules.com/fixomcvro.html
Easy to do. I mounted mine with zip ties. Works great.
Thanks a million. I did speak to the folks at mastertech and they where so helpful. Gave me the same pump number as you. I found brand new ones on e bay for half what the folks at mastertech had theirs. But I feel they helped me so much and spent time so probably get theirs if the west system does not work.
Thanks everyone.
Have a Safe boating Season
