1988 Laser 1720 Rebuild

I'm starting a complete rebuild on my 88 laser. So far i have Found out I need to pull the cap and replace the deck, stringers,and more than likely the transom. I have been around boats all my life but this will be my first rebuild. Any and all help will be greatly apprenticed. All my friends and family say I need to sell this boat and buy another, but for some reason I love this old boat, thus the reason I want to rebuild her right and not half *** it.

just an update, I have the top ready to pull off, will probably get to it today.

Welcome to iBoats! That second picture isn't working, but from the first one it looks like a real nice project.

You'll get plenty of knowledge and help around here, so keep posting pictures and let us know if you need help with anything.

got the deck off and the foam removed.

started to leave the foam in the nose then decided to take it out and was glad I did. had standing water in the nose after I removed it.
