I have a 1988 Bayliner with a 3.0L i/o, just had starter rebuilt, been working great and all of the sudden when I go to start motor on hear it clicking with no motor turnover. The positiv and negative leads get very warm to touch. What should I be looking for that I may be missing.

Pull the spark plugs and try to turn over.Hydro-locked is when your cylinders fill with water due to leaking risers, cracked heads, blown head gaskets, etc

Sounds like a bad connection at where the wire goes in the terminal at the battery. I had the exact same problem (clicking, negative wire gets real hot), pulled the wire out of the terminal, cut off the end and cleaned the terminal and reinstalled the wire. Worked great.
