I have a 1988 Suzuki 150 SuperSix. It goes into "safe" mode after about 15 seconds running over 4000 rpm's. What that means is that the engine will only fire every 3rd time and it throttles back to 3000 rpm's If I pull back on the throttle and go forward again it will run right for about another 15 seconds. I have disconnected the water sensors and oil flow sensors to see if they were the problem. They were not. I have installed a new "brain" box in it and that did not resolve the problem. I was hopeing someone here would be able to help. Thanks in advance.

well it will either be an oil or water sensor that will do this .... do you have enough oil in the oil reservoir? Always keep it filled .......

I have bypassed both the water sensor and the oil flow sensor. The oil reserve is about 1/4 full. There are no warning indicator lights red on the panel when this happens. I do know that it beeps at me when the oil level is low so it appears that sensor is working properly. The carbs have been completely gone thru, and the oil filter was checked. My mechanic is about out of bullets on this one.

Anybody else have any ideas? The boat is unusable at this point.
