1988 Yamaha 115 EXTG survey

Would appreciate any ideas on what to look for in checking out this motor. The motor has not run in about 7 years but was winterized when it went into storage. Aside from the obvious compression test and fuel line replacements etc , are there any things that would be important to check before buying ?

Drain ALL Fuel from the engine.

The duration of non operation would suggest that you pull the carbs off and inspect the floats and the carbs condition internally. Might as well dismantel and clean with a high strenght carb cleaner.

Check all wires and plugs:
