Hey all Ive got an issue with my 1988 Yamaha 90 HP Timing and am not sure how to go about the proper procedure of correcting and fixing the problem:
Now heres the issue: The motor starts right up but as soon as i give it some throttle it seems the engines cylinders aren't running in sync with each other and causes the engine to jerk. I have cleaned the carbs and did compression checks as well as testing the solenoids, all check out so it leaves me to believe the timing is off. Like i said it idles fine and i have ruled out electrical, compression, and carburetor issues. the only thing i can no think of is timing and correcting the timing but i don't know how to go about this feat. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. thank you in advance for all your posts.
