1989 200 hp Trim and Tilt Problem????

I just changed the shift shafts in both my engines. After reassembly, my Starboard engine is not tilting properly. The switch on the shift lever, and the remote switch on the engine, both do the same thing. The engine goes up when you push the switch to go down. When you try to go down, it does not move. At first I thought it was reversed wires. After checking it with a volt meter it appears, that the trim and tilt relay is stuck. There is voltage coming
through the relay when you push the switch one way, but not the other. Has anyone come across this same problem? I'm really getting an education on Yamaha motors lol..... Thanks, Bob

yes it's happened, just coincidence probably. if it's the one piece relay assembly, bring a folding chair to sit in when you the get price.

I checked the price 135.00. Could be worse.
