1989 30HP Johnson Rewind Spring

1st post...hey guys thanks ahead great forum.Had a pull cord hangin up and sticking so I just ordered a new rewind spring of my 1989 30HP. got the old one out no problem.. .it was hosed..is there any kind of trick or method for reinstalling the new one?? I'm sure i need to reload it somehow?? thanks again Chris

I am in Avon,NY. The rope is fine I am replacing the coil spring. thanks

Be careful doing this. I wear gloves and eye protection when replacing these.
