I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong when posting on this forum, I am not receiving any feedback from my posts. I'm restoring an 1989 arriva outboard boat and need some directions on rebuilding or finding these seat. They were missing when I bought the boat. If I even had pictures of front of seat I would appreciate it. I would build one. I have some pictures but not of the front section of the seat
Thanks.

Welcome Zeeky, I'll see what I can dig up for ya!!!

Uhmmm, these may be of interest...

You should be able to do a reasonable facsimile of these if you're a creative kind of guy. Let us know if we can help further. The Forum is all Jacked UP ever since the attempted upgrade. Best to use Photobucket to post pics. Posting from your phone is NO FUN. Sure wish they wouldn't have made the IMPROVEMENTS!!!!

Not sure if I can help, just wanted to say very cool boat!! All the seat for mine werre rotted to dust.....I have spent a bunch of time on the inter-web just trying to find out what they looked like. Mine cannot be bought, so I have to build them. So I got a sewing machine and have been trying to learn how to upholster. So far it has gone well, with a bunch of guidance from folks on here.

I guess it all depends on what you are willing to do to get seats.....maybe even finding some from some from a different boat that you like.....

Thanks guys,
Woodonglass your pics are close and are an option but I'm hoping to go with the exact style if possible. I'm trying to restore the boat to its original glory. I replaced the transom, stringers and deck. If I had a pattern or something I would rebuild it. So hard to find them.

Uhmm the seats shown are the factory seats from a 1989 Arriva. They Are from an I/O boat so are you saying the seats for the Outboard models are differnent? What length is your boat?

My boat is a 20 ft outboard 1989 Arriva with a 150 force. The seats has a different shape than most other arriva boats. From my pictures above you can see that they partially set on the rear seat console. I have found pictures of boats like mine but can't find a picture showing the seats front profile. The inside seat arm rest appear to be different. This picture is the same boat as mine. Can't see the seat"s inside rest good enough to reproduce this same seat. this link is my boat, which is ready for upholsery except for helm seats. Sure would appreciate getting some information on these seats.

I have that exact boat. About to undergo a complete restore. Same year, same size, I think.

Speakrdude, would you be Able to send me some pictures. If you are replacing Upholsery on helm seat I would appreciate a picture of the seats structure with the vinyl off. But either way would be fine. I just need pictures, lots of them. My boat is a 1989 2001 arriva ski boat. 20 ft outboard boat with an open bow.

I actually have all the seats stacked up in my warehouse, getting ready for recover. (and refoam where the squirrels decided they needed it for a nest somewhere else in the boat!) I will lay them out and snap you some pics.

Not really. Just have a passion to restore to original. There are lots of nice seats out there that I could buy but I get a kick out of going with the original. If I had pictures I believe I could make it happen.

What material did you use to build your seats? I welcome any inflow on how to build my own seats.
Thanks

Wow that's a great job Corjen1!! looks sharp.Yes I would benefit greatly by some pictures of your seats. They are very similar to mine. Pictures from different angles would give me something to go on. I don't even have any measurements. It's going to be a lot of guess work. When I purchased the boat the seats were missing. I will have to do the woodwork also and create the frame structure. I can't thank you enough for your feed back. much appreciated.
My boat is ready for the upholsery and seats now (there is a picture below) It's been a blast doing this. can't wait to build the seats and complete the rest of the upholsery

Were the side panels for the bow made from wood or plastic? Was it all one piece along the side or many pieces?
