1989 Force 125 Motor Runs great at idle, bogs down under load.

I have a 1989 Capri Bayliner with a 1989 Force 125. The motor starts in about 1/2 a turn, it runs perfectly at idle. It will shift into gear but bogs down when it is under a load. It will not get past 2000 rpm's. Here are the things ive done so far.
1. cleaned carbs with cleaner and air pressure. 2x's. made sure needle was falling when float comes down
2. Drained all old gas out, put in new gas, new oil mixture 50:1.
3. new gas lines and pump ball, pump ball is hard
4. Only had spark on 2 cylinders checked with DVA meter, installed new trigger. Now I have spark on all 4 cylinders, but it is very very weak. Still cant get out of the hole, lol, on plane. Only about 1500 RPM same problem bogs down, but gets 4500 rpm in reverse????
Still looking for a cure. Installed stator about 4 years ago, Stator next?
Going tomorrow to do a compression test.

Quite a few of us with the same (similar) problems

When you cleaned out the gas tank, did you clean the strainer in the dip tube? It sits between the brass connection and the aluminum tube. Mine was covered in old fuel varnish and killed my engine under load. Ran fine at idle.

Thank you very much. I haven't had a chance to take boat and check compression. but i will clean the strainer first. Thanks again. I will reply when I find out the issue.

Went thru a load of test and trial - eventually tracked it down to frayed wires under the flywheel from the stator and spark plug boots that were coming off.

Hope you problems are as simple.

To let everyone know. I have a hole in#2 piston. Chunk from #2 got down into #4 lodged between piston and cylinder wall. Need complete rebuild or new power head. Motor.
