1989 force 85hp

Hello. I have a 85 hp force. the problem im having is water is coming out on the side of the head to the right side of the spark plugs ( looking at the motor from back of the boat ) Motor is running fine.

This engine has a plate covering the water jacket on the head. To reseal it you must remove the head bolts and the three bolts next to the spark plugs. Separate the head and cover, clean off any corrosion, lap them together with a little lapping compound ot abrasive sink cleanser. Clean again and coat the mating surfaces with a light layer of silicone sealer or red Permatex and re-assemble.

Be careful with the bolts next to the spark plugs---they tend to snap off.

Salt water or fresh??
Profile,location?
Taking the head apart if it's been in salt water can be very difficult.
Like Frank says the screws can snap.
Fill out the profile and I'll send directions on removing the screws.
