OK. first time with a marine engine. ran good 3 years ago. boat has been sitting for 3 years with rot in floor "waiting to be restored" i just got it for free and I want to restore it.
Ok #1- I've heard you arent supposed to fill certain engines from the top "fill " cap" ?!
Im in need of the fluid spec's. I've drained everything but the outdrive (which any advice on would be great) now i need to refill not sure on amount, type, or anything else significant. Also any recomendations on battery for this engine?
Need advice/insights you can give me on that decking repair, fibreglass/carbon fiber/ kevlar for reinforcing stringers, refoaming some areas maybe, or anything else of course.
Finally, i'm considering using a rot resistant wood like cypress for some decking and trim. any ideas?
