OK here is the deal. Gettin frustrated here!! Jus spent brought the total to $780 and still motor runs terrible. So first off I took the motor to a professional mechanic who changed the reed gasket and charged $520. He then said the motor needed a power pack and wanted to charge 280 more. SO I went and picked up the motor and put in the pwr pack myself ($130). Still didnt run good so everyone tells me its the VRO. SO fine I finally get the VRO and installed it today ($130). Also I took the carbs off and cleaned them really good with carb cleaner and cleaned all the jets. They looked fine. So I get out on the water and WELLA you guessed it.... ran like ****. Could barely start it. Idled like ****. Got it in gear and tried to run it and noticed if I went wide open and pushed in the choke it ran ok but when i let go of the choke it would not run good at all. The motor doesnt run good at all besides that. wont idle. kills in gear. Its just frustrating because this motor used to run perfect and im sinkin all this money into it. So I checkd the compr and it was 105, 100, 100, 95. Im gettin spark. I think its fuel issue but what could it be?????? Also seems to get like milky substance leakn out of the carbs like water or air is gettn in. But I think it is air because i put fresh gas and stabil and the tank and made sure there is no water in the fuel tank. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO to get this motor back on its feet again?? Is it the carbs?? How do i make sure the carbs are ok?? Thanks for any reply.
