1990 25hp Evinrude- What Battery

What battery is best or correct for my e25eese engine? I cant find the write answer and looks like bombadire has no available manuals for later year models at website. did they take over in 2003? price may be an issue... will take forever for me to get my boat in the water....

Any decent group 24 12v battery will do.If the motor is in good tune it takes next to nothing to start it.It will run without a battery.Just unplug the harness and hand crank it.You may have to choke it to stop.Don't run it with
harness hooked up without a battery.You'll fry the charge circuit.

550 cca group 24 starting battery. when tuned properly, that motor is easily rope started also. if you want to use a trolling motor also, go to a group 27 1100 cca battery, it should last you all day, and still start the motor.

Ty for everyones help! found clymer/evinrude service manualfor $21.00 at amazon best price so far. now on to the primer solinoid ant how it works.....but got her running sort of after rebuilding card this morning is very ruough and when i put solonoid in run position it engine shutts off, when primer solinoid is in choke position it dripes very slightly ...?//again ty for all the help
