ok here is the problem.
while putting in a new switch, my brother touched the wrong wires togeather. After posting in here and asking some other people, I diagnosed it as the powerpack, under ther flywheel. After putting the new piece on, it still won't start. However it is now backfiring out the exhaust when we try to start it. We tried hooking up an old timiming light to se if it was the timing and discovered that the light did not blink consistant enough to get a read on the timing. Almost as if no. one plug is not firing consistanly.
Does timing have to be reset after installing a new powerpak.
Hope someone can give me some ideas. I hate not being out on these last few weekends.
Thanks
