I have a 1990 90 hp force on the back of a 18' Bayliner Capri I just bought knowing it was a project boat. If i put the boat on some ear muffs it runs like a dream, in the front yard that is. But as soon as I get it to the water all hell breaks loose. if you put it into forward it will go at a slow speed fine! but as soon as to ease down into some throttle it acts like it wants to go then it dies. so its like when it gets put under a little pressure it doesn't have what it needs, BUT a realized today after trying some tuning and stuff that if you put it into reverse and press backwards it will fling you forward lol so why does it work great in reverse but wants to die in Forward. I backed just the motor into the water today and revved it up and it didn't have a problem revving up but it seems as soon as it gets into the water fully you can't even rev it in neatrul without it dying, unless in reverse haha I cleaned my carbs, the fuel air is 1 turn out. new plugs, all getting good spark, gas mixed 50.1, by ball in my fuel line pumps up great. Why would it run for 30 mins straight like a dream in the driveway but want to die in the water, even when revving in neutral, but be have no problem in reverse?

Looking forward to some replies! Thanks in advance
