Having problems setting the throttle control via the control box cable.
With warm up lever full forward, the motor will start but after a 2-3 minute warm-up and the lever pulled back to about half way - the motor dies (not getting gas). The following cam ceases engaging the throttle control on the carb.

I can work the throttle by hand and keep the engine running fine. When not running - with throttle lever on the control box full forward, the following cam is putting the proper pressure on the throttle arm attached to the carb and would keep the engine going. Problem - I can't get to this point when the motor is running. I have adjusted the cable where it runs through the housing from one extreme to the other and it does not help.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Re: 1990 Ev.15HP Electric Start-Throttle Problem

Someone on another thread suggested to make the cables fit the motor, not the other way around and this seems to be the key. The throttle is now working but I have to find a way to get the shifter cable to work in sync. Right now the shifter cable will either not move into gear or once it is in gear it locks there. To get these two cable synced seems to be a challenge.
