1990 Johnson 25 hp

I am getting ready to pull the power head and see where my compression problem is. Any likelihoods?

Also, I need to find a cover/screen to go over my Carb air intake. I have had the boat for 3 years, and it has never had one.
Can't seem to find any.

Are you pulling the powerhead or just the head? How low are your numbers? Have you tried a decarb (search forum for method) or new head gasket yet? I would not pull the powerhead until all else was exhausted.

are you sure it had an air silencer, some models don't, especially the lower hp. and i agree with Steve.
