1990 mercruiser 4.3 no spark

and you have checked the strength of spark with gap tester? basically confirm you are getting spark

Was intake recently off and there is possible vacuum leak or just chasing down the no start condition ?

Checked spark at coil with gap tester and have strong spark, plugs I just verified spark with an in line tester.

Intake hasn't been off as far as I know, I'm just chasing down the no start.

do the compression test as a sanity check other than that would think you are not on compression stroke.

Compression test was good, all cylinders around 150 or so. Checked timing again, same results.

I tried different rotor I had laying around and it decided it wanted to run, but only when pouring fuel down carb.

Carb is pretty crusty looking so I imagine that's my next step.
