1990 Polar Kraft S 1440 - max hp?

1990 Polar Kraft S 1440 18 - max hp? Can anyone find a way to check capacities of this model? iboats lists an s-1418 that can take a 20hp. I presume this boat would be the same, but wanted to be sure.

Price was right --free! Transom looks a little bad at the bottom. Looks like a good winter project.

1440,Is that a Jon? If so I would guess about 6 or 8 hp.If a semiV utility
I would say compare the demensions to similar new boats.
Present Polar craft 1460 is 14'4" 60" wide and rated for motors 100 pounds
or less.That would put its hp about 25 depending on the year and brand.

I have a 1980 14 ft polar kraft 60 inches wide,it is rated for a 25 hp..I have a 35 hp mercury on it and it handles it great..

As per the specs it is rated at 20HP.
