Just one other thing that really bugs me. WHY are outboards so dammed expensive? I could buy a decent car for the same price. I know that nobody can answer this but I needed to vent a little.<br /><br />ARRRRRRGGGGGGG

Why are outboards so expensive?? <br /><br />Economies of scale.<br /><br />If an outboard builder builds a million engines a year, that would be a lot. Also consider that million engines are spread over as many as 30 different models.<br /><br />Auto builders (to use that exmaple) may build 5 million of one model/year changing nothing much other than the color.<br /><br />I'm not even going to touch the Force issue. You ask 50 people and you'll get 50 DIFFERENT opinions. <br /><br />I've learned my lesson, I'll keep my opinions to styles of boats and optioanl engine packages, but will never discuss/recommend brands again.
