1991 2002 WA need trim tabs??

Hello all,

I purchased a 2002 Trophy WA last year and the slaesman said that I would benefit with trim tabs. It has a Merc 175 on the back with hydralic trim.

I'm new to these larger power boats as I came from a 12ft alum. with a 15 so any advice would be very much appreciated!

i have a 2002 with a 175 I really don't think you need them. i have ponder with the ideas too.my boat runs just fine without. If you are getting a good deal then maybe get them. But talk to people and see what they think. My brother and my friend both said you should get them. Then another friend said ah you don't need them. So I am used to not having them I have no problems. I did have a125hp and I think I could have used them then because I was under powered, it might have helped to plane off.

i installed smart tabs on my 18ft walk around...very happy with them get on plane faster and helps in the rough stuff...just a thought
