Re: 1991 camry cv boot
It is, for me, a dirty and frustrating job. I don't have access to a lift so I work on stuff by crawling around in my driveway. As said, you gotta pull the axle and everything. The last time I found I had a cut CV boot I checked out a local chain shop called "CV Pros". They were fast and cheap and I was very happy with them. All they do is CV's. The two young guys working there were obviously not master mechanics, but they'd probably done hundreds and hundreds of CV jobs so they knew how to replace a boot without wrecking anything. Up on the lift went the Camry, zip zip tap tap tighten tighten and they were done. It would have taken me about four hours of nasty work! I didn't need any troubleshooting or anything, I just needed that dang boot replaced. They were A-1.
