1991 DP-C on Muffs?

I have a 1991 4.3 VP DP-C. This is the first spring that I have had it. I would like to run it before I get to the water. I previously had an old 470 Mercruiser which I have a set of muffs for. Is there a way to modify these muffs for the VP drive? I have tried searching for a set for the VP. The boat is not equipped with the flush set up.

Ours is a aq280 o/d with a 290 lower. Yours should be some what similar. We dont use muffs, instead we tap into the water inlet hose between the drive and transom plate. Its an old garden hose with various fittings to get the 2 hoses to fit each other. You need to check the condition of the water neck on the o/d. Its designed to deteriorate and may need to be replaced along with the hose.

get the VP muffs. moeller 099080

you can use the mercruiser muffs and duct tape

also, you need to plug the 1/2" bottom hole

or you can spend the 1/2 hour and rig plumbing like post #2
