Hi
I just aquired a 1991 force 90 hp outboard engine. One problem it came with no prop. I talked to a local marine shop and was told i need a force prop and nobody makes an aftermarket prop for this engine. He wanted to charge me $400 for a new prop and it would take him 4 weeks to get it. Anyone have any information on props for this engine? Also how do I tell if its l-drive or not? Also duel exhaust or not? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Saul

BULLS*** Michigan makes a whole line of props for Force and they will be a whole lot less than $400. Look fight here in iboats store.

L drive will have the engine inside the boat with the outdrive on the transom. Dual exhaust lower units have a line of water intake holes vertically above the gearcase torpedo. Single exhaust have four slits on either side of the torpedo just behind the prop.

Welcome.
Props can be bought here or e-bay.
The 91 the exhaust goes through the snout on the lower unit.
So the prop doesn't need the flow through hub.(unless you have a newer lower)
Pics always helps.
Depending on the boat, size, weight load and usage. Maybe you can post that and we can help figure out the pitch you need.
Most general usage props are a 17p maybe a 19p

Thanks for the replies
I am putting the engine on a 1982 18' swift sure bow rider. Not sure how heavy it is. I will use it for cruising mostly and tubing occasionally but may try wake boarding the odd time. The boat had a 115 merc on it before.
Thanks
