Hey guys,
Just wanted to know what the procedure is to bypass the pressure regulator?
When bypassing the water presure regulator what do you do with the extra hoses? I was under the impresion the Upper hose that goes to the starboard thermostat can just be unhooked and blocked off. the one that goes to the pisser can also be unhooked and an elbow can be installed at the pisser.
The smaller one that come off of the mounting plate can then be used to get a more direct reading for the presure guage. Does that sound about right?

Go to the parts catalog for a 93 or 94 V4 looper. Use that t-stat cap & spring. You'll need the gaskets too. Unscrew your vernatherm assy from the rubber gasket and discard it. Now you can remove & discard the water control valve and all the hoses. The water pressure gauge reads from the same place, you can plug the end of the hose that used to go to the valve or adapt the gauge hose to the adaptor plate nipple.

Do you reuse the vernatherm and discard the rubber gasket or is the other way around?

You'll use the "paper" gasket instead of the rubber one that screws on.
