1992 9.9hp which plug wires to which plugs?

I've got a 1992 9.9hp and the plug wires are crossed top to bottom. I've got a 1987 15hp and the plug wires are straight across top to top and bottom to bottom. What is correct?

Orange / blue stripe wire from powerpack goes to the coil for the top cylinder.
