I need to remove the lower unit to replace the swivel bracket. Trying to get bolts out. I have 2 bolts out now. The other 2 bolts will not budge. How much or can I use heat to get them out?

DEpend which bolts you mean, post a photo if possible.
Most of the lower ones you can, but any up near the midsection you risk burning seals or rubber mounts

Don't have a pic. But the 2 bolts are the ones closet to the prop and not the shaft.

Thanks

Heat it up, any burning will just be old fuel or the exhaust gasket. That gaskets not too badly priced

Don't heat the bolts themselves. Heat the housing around them for it to expand.
