1992 Johnson 25 HP

I am working on a '92 25hp J25REND outboard and need to know how to start it? I have never owned or used a tiller style pull start motor and need to know the steps on starting.
Motor is in great shape, 105 psi on both cylinders, good 7/16" + spark. After making sure it runs I want to change out the pump impellar and am not sure how to get the LU off as well. Any help would be appreciated.

This thread should be helpful for the impeller change, but a manual would be a good investment. Good luck.

1) Remove the intake screens (#30).
2) While turning the prop by hand, shift motor into Reverse.
3) Using two wrenches, disconnect the shift linkage. Hold the lower nut still, while
loosening the upper nut.
4) Pry off the little blacker keeper (and don't loose it).
5) Remove the 4 bolts and 1 nut holding the LU. Carefully lower the LU.

I'll look into a manual but this engine was given to the organization I belong to and I don't plan on being the mechanic on it. I plan on getting it running and turning it back over to them...lol
I appreciate the excellent advice I receive here and hopefully I can help others as well.
