SN#0D105940 I found a small wire broke off by the top spark plug, can I solder it back on? Looks like it attaches to a small hex head that goes into the head.I was looking on the Merc site, and was wondering if this is some typeof temp probe? Thanks in advance for your help, Brad

exactly. its for the temp probe that more than likely goes to the alarm.

Do you think it's ok to solder it back on, or do I need to get a new sensor, it's got just a tiny hex head nut holding it on, it may be hard to get off.

Take the terminal end off the sensor. Crimp and solder a new terminal end on the wire and reattach it to the sensor. Heat from the soldering iron may damage the sensor.

Upinsmoke, thanks also for the response, it's so small I couldn't see that it was originally a slip on connector? No problem, as you say I'll just crimp a new slip on fitting on the wire end and slide it on, thanks again, this sensor senses the cylinder temperature? Brad
