1992 Mercury

I purchased a 1992 4 Stroke Mercury in mint condition with less than 30 hours on it... It runs perfect but alot slower at full throttle than even some 25 horse motors I am used to. Is this normal or is there anything that can be done to use the max horse power? It almost seems like there was something done to it so you can't get full power out of it.

Welcome to iboats. 1992 4stroke WHAT? mecury. is it propped correctly for wide open throttle? is it a long shaft on a short shaft transom? proper set up is essential for top performance. please read this. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=250872
